Today we’ve got all the usual ethereal trends but with a glamorous glow up, all set in wedding splendour, against the backdrop of the quintessentially English country house. We reckon this one’s ticking a lot of your boxes.
We’re seeing a predominantly black and white palette but with the addition of rich berry tones in the bouquet and floral arrangement, which really makes them pop against the neutral grey decor of the venue’s drawing room. The groom for the day looks dashing in Michael Kors and the bride is simply stunning in not one but three unreal Enzoani gowns.
Storm Ciara and all of her chaos was no match for these local Yorkshire suppliers. Wedding pros are just going to rally together and do what it is our industry does best! So you know that your real wedding day is safe in their hands too, whatever the weather

Natalie says: Our concept was trendy and timeless black tie inspiration. We envisioned a classic black tie glamour twist on the whimsical trends that are so alluring right now. We chose a rich colour palette of mainly black and white, with deep burgundy and a touch of purple.
The elegant Grade II listed, 19th Century English country house, Saltmarshe Hall, was the perfect setting for our photoshoot. The drawing room was our particular area of focus, with its gentle lighting and elegant characteristics. It made for the perfect atmosphere.
The flowers were kept on-trend with a loose arrangement bursting with leafy foliage. Adding an injection of colour with the cascading burgundy amaranthus caudatus. Hypericum berries and thistle were used for texture and black Baccara roses for an element of timeless romance.
The Flower Shop South Elmsall also created a custom asymmetrical shaped floral installation, which made the dreamiest of backdrops for the bride and groom portraits.
Cakes by Leisa created a show-stopping, chic five tier cake. One tier featured an acrylic ‘floating tier’. Stunning sugar work finished the picture perfect design.
The trendy yet timeless theme carried through to the stationery by Somers Creative. With its contrasting rich tones and delicate details in the suite just adding to the concept of the shoot.
For the bride, we wanted a modern, glamorous look to make a statement. Three stunning lace dresses by Enzoani were provided by Goldies Bridal, which is known for its luxury gowns for modern brides. The groom wore a tuxedo by Michael Kors provided by Creations – the ultimate classic yet contemporary look. I love how the pocket square button hole gave this look a real high-end quality feel.
We chose the beautiful glamorous Molly to model for us with her full and natural long locks – she was just perfect for this shoot. We paired a glossy statement Hollywood wave by Kacey at Hair by VK with soft glamour makeup. Michaela Love, ever the perfectionist, went with a smokey copper pigmented eye, fluffy lashes and a bold burgundy lip to tie in with the flowers.
The shoot was in the midst of the midwinter storm, Ciara. The storm outside was raging and extreme weather warnings meant some suppliers were no longer able to attend. So the main highlight for me was watching us all ‘keep calm and carry on’, pulling together as we would do at an actual wedding, to create something magical. Another highlight was the models and real couple Molly and Micheal, who are not yet married. It was just lovely to see their romance and connection.
We hope this shoot has inspired you! Even during a severe storm, we will pull together to ensure you have your dream day. All the suppliers showcasing their skills here are based in and around the Yorkshire area and are eager to work to your brief and requirements to make your big day extra special.
