We’re forever fans of hot pinks, bold reds and a figure-hugging gown fit for a princess, showcased in today’s styled shoot telling the story of a bride receiving a traditional African letter from her beloved on the morning of their wedding. We’re in love!

This beautiful concept, vision and planning came from the powerhouse that is Tes Moments, Asian wedding planner and event styling expert, showing us how to incorporate the traditional African elements with a bold colour palette and modern, more Western styling.

We’re just obsessed with the OTT abundance of flowers. The vibrant and eye-catching mix of fresh florals and foliage arranged into impactful displays really sets the scene, the table arrangements are nothing short of elegant and even the mocktails look too pretty to drink – though we’re sure we’d get past that if pushed! The floral arrangements have been creatively reused to also make the cake look utterly majestic, sitting centrestage, a masterpiece in pink frosting. Meet Alex, our UNVEILED Network Member and talented wedding and portrait specialist from the North who, quite simply, loves capturing people’s special moments.

Alex embarked on her photography journey at a young age, and was always playing around with disposable cameras and Polaroids. She then studied for her diploma in film photography when she was 19, and that’s when the real magic happened. Creating images and developing them in a dark room truly captured her imagination.

After having a photography business – Alexandria French Photography – as a side hustle for several years, she then took the leap and turned it into her full-time career when she had her baby.

As Alex says: “Photography is my passion. I chose this career because making people happy through my work makes me happy too. I started up my business because having my little girl made me feel powerful and I want to show her that #girlsarepowerful and that we can do anything we set our minds to. The power of an image is pure magic.”

A PASSION FOR PHOTOGRAPHY

Alex says: Wedding days are beyond special, and if I had to pinpoint the biggest love – it would be knowing that a couple will get to relive their day through my images. There are always moments at weddings that couples miss experiencing themselves, so it is so lovely for me to think that they will get to see their day from another perspective, too.

My style is mostly documentary. I definitely capture a couple’s day naturally, but I throw a few Vogue-style shots in there for the bridal party, too.

With an absolute hit list of top Tyneside suppliers, warm tones and bold neons, this micro wedding shoot at the uber cool city venue Horticulture was never going to be anything short of incredible.

Danni of gorgeous UNVEILED Network bridal boutique Y.A.P Bridal and the friendly Horti team have pulled together a dream of a shoot for us today, and it’s all been skillfully captured by talented husband and wife photography duo, The Smiths.

Usually famed for their perfect brunch date offerings or their evening cocktails and innovative small plate menu, Horticulture generally strives to create unique, tasty, forward-thinking dishes and drinks with a focus on cultivating as much as possible from the source – hence the name. Set right in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne, this venue is now performing the famous ‘Pandemic Pivot’ to offer betrothed couples a new, cool, city centre space with a vibrant and bohemian atmosphere for a big statement micro wedding.

This venue easily lends itself to those hipster cool couples looking for something other than the norm. Picture palms, pampas, peacock chairs and an outstanding orange three tier cake and you’ve basically nailed this funky aesthetic. The shoot team are keeping things edgy but still romantic, with styling lit by neon brights and bold, vibrant murals but with a warmth borrowed from the burnt, autumnal palette and exposed brickwork. We love seeing a fresh new backdrop for an exciting and intimate wedding concept, especially one with a menu of 50 variations on the classic percolated espresso martini – we know, we’ve tried a few ourselves!

Shooting in the city today with makeup artist Sabina and a collection of talented wedding suppliers as they pull off a beautiful, industrial chic vibe in the big smoke.

London-based Sabina of Makeup by Sabina M offers her modern brides a glowing, radiant, natural glam look that would be perfect in any setting, but it really shines amongst this inner-city setup on location at Coal Drops Yard. The trendy restored yard offered our suppliers the perfect backdrop for an uber cool on-location shoot. With a pretty floral styling and a colour palette that brings out the best features of the urban venue and the simplistic but elegant gowns, this is wedding inspiration at it’s best.

Speaking of the gowns, there are two stunning custom creations featured here and we simply cannot pick a favourite between the gorgeously chic shift dress with the high neck lace or the feminine, off the shoulder, crepe gown with pearl detailing. We’re spoilt for choice! Either way, both dresses are complemented perfectly by the makeup choices for the model so we’re handing over to Sabina to find out how it all came together and what inspired her to create this shoot.

We’ve gone all peachy keen today with Grace Emily Cakes and her gang of fellow wedding industry suppliers as they pull off a pretty, whimsical styled shoot that looks positively good enough to eat.

Get ready for the sugar high, as this totally over-the-top (in the very best way!) pretty, peachy style is utter perfection, set in the most fabulous peach room at the Peak District’s Cressbrook Hall and even includes a rose gold vintage Morgan car!

The colour peach hasn’t had a great rep for the past few years, falling out of favour after overuse in the 90s, but Emily is bringing it back today in a big way. With the bride modelling an incredible, fluffy, tiered Peach Melba of a gown, custom-created for the shoot, peach petals, pops of pink and enough sweet treats to satisfy even our sugar cravings, this shoot is reminiscent of Marie Antoinette’s vibe in her rumoured “let them eat cake” days.

Since UNVEILED Network Member Grace Emily Cakes is behind some of the best wedding gateaux and most inspiring dessert tables in the business, we’re confident that she knows a thing or two about candy coloured creations. Over to you, Emily!

A 70s throwback, a sense of female empowerment and a strong bridal look in the form of an influential and incredibly chic, tailored, white jumpsuit today on the blog and we’re totally here for it!

If the traditional wedding gown isn’t quite your jam and you’ve been looking for something unusual, then feast your eyes on this unreal Carson jumpsuit by Charlie Brear. It was enough to bond our two creatives, Heidi and Catherine, together and inspire a whole shoot feature around the concept of a stylish, 70s glam look, reminiscent of the uber cool Studio 54 disco club of days gone by.

There’s also an eclectic mix of foliage, palms and artichokes, disco balls and metallic gold touches to add that diva pazazz, all set against the gritty backdrop of Manchester city centre and The Castlefield Rooms. We’re even seeing 70s inspired party food and Champagne! No detail has been overlooked here!

Welcome to the latest styled shoot at the beautiful Grade II listed Saltmarshe Hall. It’s a whole heap of understated glam and perfectly demonstrates a way of bringing the latest trends into a more classic setting. Dress code: black tie, baby.

Today we’ve got all the usual ethereal trends but with a glamorous glow up, all set in wedding splendour, against the backdrop of the quintessentially English country house. We reckon this one’s ticking a lot of your boxes.

We’re seeing a predominantly black and white palette but with the addition of rich berry tones in the bouquet and floral arrangement, which really makes them pop against the neutral grey decor of the venue’s drawing room. The groom for the day looks dashing in Michael Kors and the bride is simply stunning in not one but three unreal Enzoani gowns.

Storm Ciara and all of her chaos was no match for these local Yorkshire suppliers. Wedding pros are just going to rally together and do what it is our industry does best! So you know that your real wedding day is safe in their hands too, whatever the weather

A sorbet palette with an art deco edge – sprinkled with influences from the 1970s – creates the stuff of a boho couple’s dreams in this creative shoot, which is all kinds of pretty.

Dainty, elegant styling touches work perfectly with the venue’s rustic blank canvas of a backdrop, brilliantly coordinated on the day by Kate from The Destination Wedding Co. The colour scheme really does pop in these pictures, and is beautifully offset by the bride’s intricate, vintage-styled silk and lace gowns.

From the minimalist cakes adorned with art deco motifs, and stylish colour block stationery, to the whimsical bouquet in a kaleidoscope of soft pink and lilac hues – this is the dreamiest of intimate weddings for us to both covet and cherish.

Let’s leave the latest lockdown news behind us today and jet off to (usually) sunny Santorini for a styled shoot full of dreamy Greek scenes and softly lit romance.

We are literally salivating at the thought of hopping on a plane and flying off to sunnier climes, and it doesn’t get much more idyllic and laid back than the Greek island of Santorini. For UNVEILED Network Member Sarah Taylor, it was a dream location. She’d always fancied setting up a shoot over there and now seemed like as good a time as any! Especially with it being such a quiet time for weddings and for the tourism industry. With oddly empty streets and an uncharacteristic but gentle rainfall, the results are pure magic.

If this shoot doesn’t have you packing your bags and rushing to book an elopement or destination wedding for 2022, we don’t know what will! The palette of pale pink, sky blue and grey, coupled with the classic whitewashed Greek buildings, has set a beautiful colour scheme and the shots of the couple high up in the rooftops make it seem as though they’re practically floating on air. It’s simple but it’s stunning.
