For the SS18 season, this creative editorial was inspired by the relaxed, bohemian styling of super chic destination weddings.
Shooting in the freezing fog of January meant that we sought our beachy backdrop at the beautiful Sefton Park Palm House. Steering clear of the obvious tropical take on this space, we opted for a washed-out colour palette, super soft silks and fringing, a pop of cool neon lighting and lots of unexpected texture in the floral design, leaving us dreaming of our next Mallorcan adventure.
Sefton Park Palm House, Venue
Sefton Park Palm House is located in the magnificent 235 acre historic Sefton Park, in south Liverpool. The breath-takingly beautiful Victorian glass house is home to the Liverpool Botanical Collection, and provides a spectacular ceremony and reception space like no other.
Surrounded by award-winning parkland, iconic monuments and unusual plants, the stunning Grade II listed building can host weddings of up to 400 standing guests and 220 seated guests within its incredible glazed structure. The Palm House is a luxurious and historically significant venue that makes every wedding special and unique.

Shooting at Sefton Park Palm House was a dream! Beautiful botanicals providing a dense backdrop of various colours and textures, gorgeous vintage ironwork in the window panes and staircase, and totally drenched in natural light. The talent, professionalism and friendliness of everyone on the team, made this shoot an absolute joy to be a part of.

A range of the gorgeous attire and accessories that we offer can be seen in the shoot, including stunning organic silk gowns and a jumpsuit by Sanyukta Shrestha; a designer who specialises in eco-lux Fairtrade and sustainable gowns. We teamed the silk gown with a 100% cashmere jumper from sustainably managed farming. Beautiful lace tops and a strapless silk chiffon gown came from our Fairtrade Celia Grace collection, where the dresses are made in women-owned Fairtrade sewing groups. We also featured our favourite pieces from Rembo Styling, which offer the perfect blend of boho and elegance. The beautiful accessories are by Anna-Louise Adornments.

I’m a freelance hair stylist and makeup artist creating stunning hair styles and long-lasting makeup for brides on their big day.
I adored the relaxed Balearic vibe of this shoot – and the dresses were so up my street! I created gorgeous, hippie-like, beachy hair and went all out on the makeup, adding glittery jewels to the look. I love glitter!

I offer bespoke floral design for couples looking for something special for their wedding day. I am a studio-based designer based in Leeds, but my work takes me all over the UK and overseas. I love all things floral, taking inspiration from nature, fashion and art.
There was already an abundance of super cool green foliage provided by the botanical setting of Sefton Park, so I wanted to introduce lots of pretty flowers and a soft colour palette to the venue. I wanted the flowers to reference tropical, but not to be the hot tropics that we’ve seen before, so I worked on a palette of softer peachy tones, adding a hint of violet to pull the colours together. The Palm House was the perfect setting for something a little bit different, and it was a dream to collaborate with the other suppliers.

We specialise in crafting light up letters and backdrops that add originality and style to weddings and events across the North West and Yorkshire.
For this shoot we went to town, designing and creating a something brand new and bang on trend that would work with the fabulous Ibiza vibes. We created a neon love sign mounted on a white-washed 8ft tall grid effect backdrop, and the contrast of the white and neon was just stunning. We also supplied our ultra clean and chic ‘Geometric Dream’ backdrop as well as ‘Roxy’, our colour changing neon love heart mounted on a beautiful rustic piece of wood.
Rachel Hanna, Marie Antionette Cakes
We specialise in contemporary cake design for couples with the highest expectations. From our studio in Heaton Chapel, Cheshire, we design and make everything by hand, taking inspiration from a wide range of sources including fashion, interiors, floristry and nature.
For this cake design, we went for a washed-out Balearics-inspired look. Rough, worn, flaking texture, muted colours and an oversized cluster of beautiful sugar flowers, succulents and foliage, all handmade in delicate off-whites, peaches and pinks, framed with faded greens and greys. We took inspiration from a hot, dusty, Ibizan climate and translated it into a raw, natural, bohemian look that aligned perfectly with the architecture of the Palm House, the wonderful fresh floral creations from In-a-Gadda-Da-Vida, and the incredible detail and ethos behind the gowns from The Conscious Bride.

All my stationery is designed and handmade to the highest quality using a variety of different texture and colour cards, beautiful ribbons and finishes. The designs are exclusive to each of my couples meaning that I can create personal stationery to suit a spectrum of individual tastes, styles and wedding themes.
The stationery for this shoot was designed to reflect the plants and foliage within the Palm House. I wanted to create something bold with the shapes I used, but also warmth and playfulness, which was created through the washed-out greens and hint of pink.
