Filled with plentiful and pretty faux blooms in everything from a statement floral chair to botanical-adorned cake and the ultimate wedding aisle walkway, the shoot perfectly demonstrates how impactful fine florals can be in enhancing and matching the splendor of a venue like Ellingham.
Further details include impressive tablescapes, sophisticated stationery and delicate sweet treats. The attire, meanwhile, is beautifully stylish and yet timeless, complete with understated hair and makeup looks.

Inspired by a regal English country garden, with luxe detailing from top to toe, this was the biggest shoot the venue has ever seen.
Every year Ellingham is looking for ways to inspire couples and help them in their wedding planning experience. This helps create the first of many style guides for all our couples, bringing together some of our favourite suppliers to showcase some of the upcoming trends we can help them tap in to.
The shoot also forms part of the new spring/summer collection by event stylists, Great British Bash, called Tattersall, with all of the collection available to hire from the team.
Given the style of the shoot, the endless acres of land and luscious lawns the venue offers – Ellingham Hall complemented the editorial style perfectly.
For the ceremony and dining setups, the Chapel couldn’t have been more perfect! Its high ceilings, showstopping fireplace and room paneling made it a playground for Fiona and her team at Great British Bash when it came to creating the opulent floral set for the shoot.
Fiona wanted a big space to create a grand scale luxurious wedding set, and that’s what she got! Unlike one or two tables, Fiona likes to create a full production when it comes to shooting, which results in large-scale masterpieces
All the florals are artificial, making her the queen of faux flower artistry in the North! Purchasing only the best artificial flowers, this allows the team to produce a real life-like replica of all the arrangements.
The stationery was again produced by Great British Bash – from the welcome signs, to save the dates, table plans and even favours – all of the stationery created in-house is linked to collections created by the team. This means that from the very first save the date, right through to the thank you cards, the entire wedding stationery experience matches and flows.
Sandy, of The Cake Garden, makes the most effortlessly beautiful creations. For this shoot, Sandy created a classic three-tier sponge as well as a gorgeous arrangement of items for our dessert table with subtle colour pops that highlight the endless display of florals in the Chapel space. Working together with Great British Bash on real weddings before, these two know how to style a table and make a real conversation piece for a wedding.
The heavy lace detailed bridal dress is by Essense of Australia, while the others are by independent designer Q’nique Bridal Wear, all supplied by Accent Original Bridal Wear. The V-neck, full-length gown is an exclusive preview for UNVEILED, as this is one of the brand-new designs in their September release collection, which isn’t in stores until 2020.
Running with the ‘regal girl next door’ theme, we chose dresses to complement the bride’s figure. For the outdoor shots with the bridesmaids, we wanted to bring in more colour with the bridal dress to really highlight the colour palette.
The brief was for simple, elegant, beautiful hair and makeup, channeling Kate Middleton with her traditional look, innocence and natural beauty. Hair stylist and makeup artist, Lisa Jones, certainly delivered that – and so much more. With multiple hairstyles complementing each dress and set design, the look was aimed at brides wanting a very natural yet beautiful approach to their wedding makeup.
The shoot was photographed over two days. The first was the wedding breakfast and ceremony set-up to make sure no details were missed. Photographer Carn’s eye for detail allowed us to really focus on the little touches which make weddings stand out when it comes to styling.
On the second day, we brought in the models, dresses, hair and makeup to complete the regal scenes. One of the main highlights was the spectacular aisle with the towering florals, flowing gowns and bringing together all suppliers for a real wedding dreamscape.
Fiona from Great British Bash creates such beautiful modular installations that are so incredibly versatile which worked perfectly for our shoot, it also meant in the last 30 minutes of the day we could quickly construct the floral chair. Created from the sea of vivid floral modules and luxe silk cloths, this fashioned a luxurious depiction of a lavish English garden.
