PARIS A DEUX: A CREATIVE DESTINATION ELOPEMENT EDITORIAL

Julia Braime

The romantic city of Paris; an elegant destination drenched in passion, lust and beauty. Every element is steeped in romance – from its stunning architecture to its chic residents – making it the perfect location for a secret elopement fashion editorial, as featured in Issue 10 of UNVEILED.

Photographer Jane Beadnell talks us through the inspirations behind the stunning imagery.

The Location

Jane says: We hope that these images will inspire couples considering a wedding day just for two in a city or country that steals their hearts.

As one of the most enchanting cities in the world, we were spoilt for choice when it came to settings and so we picked a few of our favourites: views of the Eiffel Tower from Place du Trocadéro; a pretty picnic in Jardin des Tuileries and a stroll around Musée de Louvre.

The Styling

The concept by Ambience Venue Styling centred on a delicious colour palette of pastel pinks and purples with a hint of sage green and rose gold. These sugary hues ran through the picnic setting making it a real feast for the eyes. From the cake and macaroons to the stationery and flowers, it all came together beautifully for a soft, romantic result.

The Fashion

Our bride wore two beautiful beaded dresses by Eliza Jane Howell: Belle and Grace from The Bridal Emporium, Leeds. The look was completed with statement earrings and sparkling hair accessories by Bespoke Vintage Castle. Our groom wore a navy Richard James Mayfair three-piece suit with pink tie.

Super soft and romantic makeup and hair was done by Cheryl Marie Wright.

The Details

The florals by Frenchie Loves Flowers were a mix of beautiful sweet-scented blooms with various colour tones and textures from David Austin, Juliet and Amnesia Tea Roses to Sweet Peas, Syringa Vulgaris, Ranunculus, Astilbe, Echeveria Succulents and Eucalyptus.

The two-tier cake from Poppy Pickering Cakes had a geometric pattern over rose gold on the bottom tier and was dressed with flowers on the soft lilac top tier.

The stationery by JB Creatives was made in a soft ice cream parlour lilac card with rose gold foil with soft torn edges. Silk ribbons were provided by Bertie & Fred.

The Finishing Touches

We used various purple toned glass wear, a stunning sage velvet ring box and a beautiful pink picnic rug to further enhance the scene.
