Crystal chandeliers, sweeping staircases and ornate glass windows bring accents of decadence to the spaces at Lartington Hall. A neutral palette, enhanced by soft candlelight and blush hues, is complemented by textured florals and foliage comprising cafe au lait dahlia, scabious and grasses, with a nod to the current dried flower trend.
Three striking looks take the bride from morning through to night, with an off the shoulder fitted crepe dress, classic silk chiffon jumpsuit, and satin, rhinestone embellished gown all featuring. The runway-inspired beauty look, meanwhile, is dominated by a dewy base and monotone eyes, with shimmer to the cheeks and bold lashes.

I have fallen in love with Lartington Hall, it is a gorgeous wedding venue, so elegant and beautiful – full of light and stunning little details. It was a dream to photograph with so many wonderful spaces; the Chapel, the entrance hall, the amazing views, the gardens… Everything about this venue is a photographer’s dream. I look forward to capturing real weddings there in the future!

When I was invited to be part of the bridal shoot at Lartington Hall I thought I would create two very elegant, sophisticated and romantic bridal looks.
I was in the middle of making an intricate back detail for a new bridal gown and thought this venue would be perfect to showcase the result of so many hours of craftsmanship. One idea followed the other and, in a couple of weeks, I ended up with three outfits ready for this styled shoot.
The first look for the church ceremony was aimed at a bride who loves to wear a romantic and delicate Chantilly lace with a bridal veil. This design was a fitted crepe dress with a small train and off-shoulder lace sleeves, finished by a draped silk tulle detail along the neckline. The final touch was a short lace edged veil with a taffeta ribbon centre to be attached on top of the bride’s hair.
The second bridal outfit was a more comfortable but super elegant look, perfect for a bride who wants to wear trousers and welcome her guests and enjoy the main meal in complete comfort. I designed a very romantic bridal jumpsuit made in silk chiffon and crepe, with a draped chiffon front neck, peasant sleeves and button back detail. The back of the jumpsuit, as well as the cuff sleeves, were embellished with lace appliques, hand embroidered with pearls and sequins.
And, a third bridal look for the last part of the party would allow the bride to go for a sexier look. I made this gown in satin with rhinestone button details as a front closure, turning into a front split. This design features puffed sleeves with a rhinestone button line and a tulle back embellished with lace appliques.

I wanted the bouquet to have a floaty ethereal feel using gorgeous textures. We used Yorkshire-grown cafe au lait dahlia and scabious. We added lots of different grasses to give a textured look with lots of movement, as well as delphinium, orlaya for the white delicate tones and rich herbs such as rosemary and myrtle for the fresh greens.
Dried amaranthus yearning dessert and other dried stems gave a nod to the current trend for dried flowers. We also used the sea green eucalyptus populus to add trailing movement.

This look was directly inspired by the AW19 catwalks. Great skin is a beauty goal so I prepped with RE9 Advanced Brightening Serum and Moisturiser to bring that wellness from the offset. I used make up primer followed by Perfecting Liquid Foundation and Real Conceal Liquid Concealer.
To compliment Romina’s stunning gowns and the gorgeous location I wanted a fresh flush of blush as seen at Chanel. I wanted to keep everything dreamy and romantic so used a monotone palette for eyes, cheeks and lips. After priming the eyelids I swept Opal, Desert and Juniper to create a pretty flush of shimmer from both the It’s All In The Eyes Eyeshadow Palette Volume 1 & 2.
Mascara is huge for this season so I applied lashings of Speak Volumes Mascara to Amber’s lash extensions. Lips were kept suitably dewy with the limited edition Glossed All Over Lip Gloss In Sahara.
I hope it inspires other brides to try this look for their wedding day. All of the products are vegan and the ingredients are botanically sourced too.
