The concept of today’s styled shoot was thought up by UNVEILED Network Member Elizabeth Lucas, a wonderful bridal boutique in Beverley, East Yorkshire, and is brought to us by another UNVEILED Network Member, the award-winning M&G Photography. With M&G’s eye for beautiful setups and Elizabeth Lucas’ talents for showcasing a dress or two, the end result was always going to be nothing short of a masterpiece.
The juxtaposition of the two spaces used as venues for the shoot is exquisite; the first, overgrown, wild greenhouses gone feral, all structure and form, greenery and dilapidation as a backdrop to the stunning white lace gown in question. Then, secondly, a wide beachscape, sand and sea as far as the eye can see. Blue sky and windswept open spaces serving as perfect scenery for a second remarkable gown. With all other styling kept minimal, the dresses really stand out as the true stars and we’re sure you’re going to fall for the whole set.

The M&G team say: We were asked to photograph this beautiful styled shoot by Sophie from Elizabeth Lucas. It was Sophie’s concept and her creative vision that brought the shoot about – we were just delighted to be the ones to capture the images!
Sophie first got in touch saying, “I have this idea for a shoot at some deserted greenhouses…” We stopped her there and asked her to sign us up to photograph the shoot! We didn’t need to hear anymore, I mean, come on! Old, disused greenhouses sounded so cool as a location, and they did not disappoint.
Sophie chose the run-down greenhouses as something different to the norm – a little dystopia to contrast with the beauty of her dresses. We love the juxtaposition of the broken glass with the perfectly designed bridal gowns – it’s what lends a unique element to this shoot. We then suggested the beach as a second location, and Sophie loved the idea. British beaches are beautiful, but they also give a blank canvas. This gave a nice counterpoint to the first location with the greenhouses, which was visually more exciting.
This was a minimal shoot – it really is all about the dresses. We, and the other wedding suppliers involved, just looked to complement, through our work, the dresses that Elizabeth Lucas provided. Step forward the amazing Bloom and Bridal, Victoria Louise Accessories, Unity Rhodes (all fellow UNVEILED Network Members) and Amore. All such talented wedding suppliers, the shoot showcases their amazing work alongside the stunning Willowby by Watters bridal gowns, particularly the stylish, creative floral design by the amazing Bloom and Bridal based in Hull, East Yorkshire.
Elizabeth Lucas carry contemporary and beautiful wedding dresses for the bride that wants to stand out and look amazing on her wedding day! They’re based in Beverley, East Yorkshire. For this shoot they supplied three stunning bridal gowns from Willowby; Cole, Bonnie and Mackinnon. Simone modelled Mackinnon at the greenhouses and wow, what an amazing dress! It was probably our favourite of the three (though that is a difficult choice as they were all stunning)! With romantic off the shoulder sleeves and custom floral embroidery and we loved photographing it. We would love to see some brides in any of the dresses featured!
Next up were the Cole and Bonnie dresses at the beach. The Cole dress is simple but striking. It’s such an elegant, timeless wedding dress! Last of all was Bonnie, a wonderfully boho design with immaculate detail. All three were beautifully contemporary. Just the kind of bridal gowns that stand out and are such a pleasure to photograph.
Victoria Louise Accessories provide statement earrings and headpieces, bringing something a little different to the mix! Amore Headwear, based in Beverley East Yorkshire, offer luxury bridal headwear and other bridal accessories.
Unity Rhodes is an amazingly talented bridal hair stylist based in East Yorkshire
She did a fantastic job on Simone’s hair! It was a beautifully effortless boho updo and would suit any bride who wanted a contemporary look. It also suited all the amazing hair accessories we used.
We are known for our unposed, documentary wedding photography. However, though we have a trademark natural style, we love to shoot editorially too, when the chance arises! We loved working with our model for the day, Simone Clark. She’s incredibly talented and looked amazing in the dresses Elizabeth Lucas provided. Overall, everyone involved in the shoot just wanted to take some beautiful bridal photos in some unusual, ‘outside the box’ locations. We love the results and we hope you do too!
We have become good friends with Sophie from Elizabeth Lucas and the team at Bloom and Bridal, so it was so lovely to work with them again. We’ve also got to know Victoria Louise and Amore Headwear from other shoots, and they always provide such wonderful bespoke accessories. Unity Rhodes is one of the best hair stylists around. We just cannot recommend all of these amazing suppliers enough. All such dedicated professionals and lovely people too!
We are continuing to book up quickly for wedding photography in 2022 so please do get in touch now to avoid disappointment! We are also the most recent winners of The Wedding Industry Award for Best Wedding Photographers in Yorkshire!
