Peaches & Cream. A Berta Wedding Dress for a Romantic Wedding Shoot at Baddow Park House

Sarah Symonds

Swoon over the classy and elegant stylings of today’s featured shoot at the gorgeous Baddow Park House in Essex, as the team remind us that a micro wedding can actually mean maximum romance.

The concept of this pretty peach shoot was put together by florist Amanda and photographer Camilla, with help from wedding planner Illy. After settling on their soft, sweet palette and an overall style, Amanda chose flowers of predominantly creams with undertones of pastel peaches and pale pinks, while Camilla’s light, airy approach to the photography has captured the warm feel of the day flawlessly.

In keeping with the dessert theme, you’ll see a simple table set for six, piled high with towering, impressive cakes that somehow remain graceful and tasteful, and white blooms ensuring that the overall look is refined and sophisticated. This simplicity is echoed in the stunning Berta dress and the groom’s classic tux and bow tie. There isn’t a petal out of place in this charming and luxurious English country house shoot.

CONCEPT

Camilla says: As a group of suppliers, we wanted to create a shoot that fit with the times, and in July weddings had to be a maximum of six people. We wanted to show how you can still have a gorgeous, outside, ‘instagrammable’ wedding with all the details and just six people. The inspiration started from a palette inspired by the dessert, peaches and cream.

LOCATION

We set up at Baddow Park House. The location was picked because of the venue’s intimate feel and gorgeous outside space with lots of dark greenery. We wanted somewhere that would give a beautiful contrast to the pale pastel colours of the shoot.

STYLING

We had a gorgeous cake table by Meadow Sweet Cakes, a frame by Will at Wedding Metal Art for the flowers and a beautiful six person table. With lots of candles and beautiful flower filled urns we wanted the table to be full to the brim with prettiness and beauty.

Our florist was Amanda Jane Flowers, based in West Sussex, the chairs were from Academy Furniture and the ribbon and table runner was courtesy of Pom Pom Blossom. Stationery was created by Lenka Calligraphy.

ATTIRE

The bride and groom’s attire was an easy choice for us. With a wonderful contact at The Wedding Club we knew we had to choose a Berta dress. Berta dresses are renowned for having creamy and peachy undertones, and with the luxurious styling of the gowns we couldn’t go wrong. This was paired with Valentino Rockstuds, a veil from Botias Accessories,

The groom wore a simple black tux with a bow tie, following the trend of this season.

Wedding bands and engagement ring number one was by London Victorian Ring Company, and the second ring and earrings were by Sarah Gauci, an independent jeweller based in Malta.

BEAUTY

Chloe GH Bridal is a luxury hair and makeup artist based in London. Chloe did both a loose flowing look and a sleek updo. The beauty of having these styles is that it gives both a day time and evening look. Most brides get fed up of having their hair down all day so the beauty of being able to put it up for the evening reception is really something we wanted to touch on.

RESULTS

Ultimately, as a group of suppliers, we wanted to have fun and get some amazing content. At the time of the shoot, restrictions had only just been lifted so we were all super keen to get our creative juices flowing and work on something wedding-y!
