The Barn on The Bay
The Barn on The Bay is a unique wedding venue on a Northumbrian farm. With a beachside ceremony area and garden paddock for outdoor ceremonies and a huge converted cowshed wedding barn to party in we have the perfect venue for an outdoor or festival style wedding. Or, if you’re looking for a smaller, more intimate ceremony we have a beautiful stone barn for micro weddings.
The Cowshed forms the hub of weddings here, with its rustic agricultural styling and full access to a range of props and table decorations to use, we can even style your tables. The Cowshed bar is fully stocked with local ales, lager and lots of gins along with everything else you’d expect. Cocktails are served from a converted vintage horse box.
Outside on the verandah we have a gin bar and another horse box bar to serve afternoon drinks at your reception, we even have a beer trough and a self serve pump available.
Take full advantage of having a private beachside area by holding your ceremony overlooking the Bay, having drinks on the verandah before partying in the barn, and if you’re staying the night we recommend taking a fire pit back over to the beachside for an after party.
Whether you choose a day only package or come for a 2 night stay you can really personalise your wedding here with our special touches like alpacas turning up at your reception to mingle, or a ride to your ceremony area on our vintage tractor and trailer. For overnight stays we have plenty of accommodation including a cottage, beach pods, glamping, camping and a bunkbarn all on site.

I just wanted to email to say the biggest THANK YOU possible for last Saturday. Honestly we had the MOST amazing day and it was mainly down to you two (don't tell Jonny lol). I don't think people really appreciate how much work you guys must be doing in the background for the entire weekend to make sure everything runs as smoothly as it did - I didn't have a single worry for the whole day because I knew you were in charge making sure everything happened when it needed to, and that's priceless on a wedding day! And everything did go exactly to plan and we loved every second of it!
