I was recommended Lisa Cooper MUA for my wedding makeup by my nail technician. Having reviewed her social media presence, I was very impressed. My only worry was that the look I wanted for my wedding wasn’t ‘A typical’ of a Bride. I don’t wear much makeup on a daily basis, its fair to say I’m comfortable without it.
From the moment I first spoke to Lisa she made me feel relaxed and at ease, Lisa explained that her job was to make me look the way I wanted, she suggested we could trial a few options until I was happy. We discussed the costs so I knew what to expect from the start.
When it came to skincare and makeup products her knowledge base was second to none, Lisa gave me ideas on how I could remain comfortable wearing more makeup than usual but without looking like I was wearing much. She also advised how best to look after my skin in the run up to the wedding as we had a pre-moon booked abroad! Its fair to say I loved the look she gave me after the first trial but wasn’t sure the colouring I’d chosen with was right for my wedding – I decided to have a second trial but gave Lisa more free reign to use colours that she felt complimented my skin tones whilst remaining with a natural look – the outcome was perfection. This woman knows her makeup!!
On my wedding day Lisa arrived in plenty of time – I felt I was welcoming a friend into my home. She replicated my trial makeup perfectly – I was super impressed at the notes and sketches she’d taken to ensure the same look was recreated – you don’t realise the unique blends of colours that a makeup artist uses to create your perfect look it wasn’t simply a one pallet application! In summary Lisa gave me the finishing touch on my wedding that I had always dreamed of.

I was looking for a make up artist for my wedding after a bad trial with another make up artist, so I was a bit apprehensive of going through the process again not knowing if my ideas would come through. Lisa turned all my worries around! She is extremely down to earth and so easy to be around that I felt comfortable immediately and knew I was in good hands. She pretty much got everything I wanted down to a tee and made myself and the bridesmaids look stunning on the day! Myself and some of my bridesmaids are not used to wearing a lot of make up, but she tailored it all according to our preference and how we felt comfortable, and the results spoke for themselves! Everyone was raving about how gorgeous the make up is, everyone felt beautiful and confident all day straight into the evening.
